Itinerary – Private Airboat Tour

• First, we will pick you up at your hotel and begin our scenic 45-minute drive down to the bayou.

• We will leave the city, cross the Mississippi River, and make our way to the beautiful cypress swamps.

• Then, you will hop on a small private airboat with a great local Cajun airboat captain.

• On the airboat, you will head through the beautiful acres of the Louisiana Swamps.

• During the tour, you will explore the native wildlife, interact with some gators, and enjoy some cheeky Cajun humor.

• Lastly, we can either return to your hotel, explore the city for sightseeing, head to see an antebellum plantation, or grab lunch at a local Cajun seafood restaurant.

Why Take a Private Airboat Tour?

• The Transportation: With La Vie Orleans, you will be picked up at your hotel and driven in a private SUV. You will never be in a large shuttle bus with countless pickups and drop-offs at everyone’s different hotel.

• The Airboat: We exclusively use small 6 passenger airboats with no one else on board, other than your group. The smaller boats are more intimate and more maneuverable than the typical 20+ passenger airboats.

• The Cajun Captains: We partner with a local company with a few select captains who share our love of our culture and heritage with visitors to New Orleans.

• The Waterway: We will explore exquisite acres of swampland, as opposed to using busy public waterways.

What Wildlife Will We See on the Airboat Tour?

Although it is impossible to make 100% guarantees with wild animals, our guests have seen wild alligators on every single trip. Additionally, Louisiana wildlife is rich with both resident and migratory animals. However, their presence can vary wildly from season to season. For example, we may see bald eagles, osprey, ducks, geese, nutria rats, egrets, heron, and more.
