Born and raised in New Orleans, my affection for this city is profound, rooted in my grandfather's dream to claim a stake in its famed culinary scene. Over 50 years ago, he and my grandmother launched Short Stop Po-Boys within a modest grocery store, establishing a legacy that has since become a staple of our family and the local community. Their commitment to uniting people was paramount, a passion they ensured lived on in each of us. I cherish the moments spent absorbing his tales of the shop's inception, which ignited my enduring curiosity.
My father's influence nurtured my deep appreciation for history, a subject abundant in New Orleans. After a 15-year tenure in luxury hospitality across the United States, the city's historical allure beckoned me home. Supported by family, friends, and fellow historians, I embraced the role of a professional guide, a decision I've never regretted.
Now, as a thankful husband and father to three, I foster the same enthusiasm for our distinctive culture and its rich origins in my family. My ultimate aim with every visitor is to ensure they leave with an enriched understanding and love for the essence of New Orleans.
